"Croix Valley steak sauce".The steak sauce recipe was developed in our kitchen by our son Damon Holter. our sauce is handcrafted in small batches in our kitchen.

A NOTE FROM TIMBERIDGE ROADHOUSE
Try breaking up your week. Go out to dinner on a weekday, Change your mindset about dining on the weekend. For restaurants weekends are the busiest time. Any restaurant in the country will tell they wish they had more customers during the week to cut down on the hectic weekends.
The reasons to try dining during the week are simple, less crowds. The staff is less hurried that means you will get more attentive service. The owners or managers have time to greet and talk to you. The atmosphere is quieter, dining during the week is more romantic. Dining during the week is slower paced and more relaxing for you. So next time you dine out try week day dining you will be pleasantly surprised how nice it is and more importantly you are breaking away from
your everyday routine.
History
Timberidge was originally built in 1946 as a tavern and meeting place where the locals would gather around a old pot belly stove and drink, socialize and dance. It had a few names in the past,The Triangle Bar and Nub's Pub. The service road out front of the restaurant used to be Hwy. 70 and travelers would stop for gas at the single gas pump. There are many stories from old timers who remember the old place, things like Friday night sing alongs with the owner who had a fabulous voice. There were pot luck dinners where everyone from the area would bring a dish to share. And there were plenty of fishing stories at the bar.
In 1996 the building was purchased by a Minnesota couple Jann and Bruce Holter who moved to the area to enjoy the northland. The building was shut down for 2 years and under went extensive renovations. A log structure was built inside and the walls were completely rebuilt. An open ceiling was added, new windows, new kitchen, and a huge stone fireplace was added. The only thing original that remains of the old 1946 building is the maple flooring in the dining room and the ceiling roof boards that are now exposed.
